Australis ADSL is here now. |
| ADSL (Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber
Line) uses your existing phone line to deliver a broadband Internet
connection. You can enjoy a telephone conversation at the same time
as receiving data without noticing any difference to either services.
|
|
The availability of ADSL is dependent on a number of factors, including
the quality of your existing phone line and the distance from your
nearest telephone exchange. If available in your area you can apply
for either 256k or 512k. The difference to your old modem will be
amazing.
|
ADSL doesn’t just deliver speed. Here are some of the other major
reasons for becoming an ADSL subscriber:
- no need to dial-up to access the Internet
- no need for a second line - you can
be on the net and never miss a call
- real-time e-mail, receive messages
as soon as they arrive in your mailbox
- play games, listen to music and watch
videos in real time.
